Ramon Grosfoguel is an Associate Professor of Ethnic Studies at the University of California Berkeley, USA. Ramon Grosfoguel is internationally recognized for his work on decolonization of knowledge and power as well as for his work in international migration and political-economy of the world-system. He has written extensively on modernity/coloniality/decoloniality, racism and Islamophobia. He has been a research associate of the Maison des Science de l’Homme in Paris for many years. He has authored The Modern/Colonial/Capitalist World-System in the Twentieth Century: Global Processes, Antisystemic Movements, and the Geopolitics of Knowledge, Latino/as in the World-System: Decolonization Struggles in the 21st Century U.S. Empire and Latino/as in the World-System: Decolonization Struggles in the 21st Century U.S. Empire.
